Windows are manufactured by the millions each year, so the only reason some companies sell "custom vinyl windows" for $500-$1,000 each is just because they can "persuade" homeowners through HIGH-PRESSURE sales techniques.

There are literally tens of thousands of window retailers, yet amazingly few window component manufacturers.  The basic parts of a window (extruded vinyl frames, glass packs and other attachments) are shipped to the various manufacturers; assembled, shipped, and then delivered to you by a local window retailer.

Very few of the "manufacturers" actually make ANY of the components of the actual window.
